Unforgettable Milford Sound: Half-Day Flight & Cruise from Queenstown

Fantastic views, felt safe the entire trip. It was comfortable and relaxed with great commentary throughout the flight.

our trip postponed to next day due to bad weather, next day morning we got pickup from hotel , and started our beautiful scenic journey over ice mountain, grey river with blue water looks like rainbow . And cruse ship ride watching waterfalls, dolphin, seals etc . Just wonderful experience.

Flying to Milford Sound with Air Milford was hands down one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. The views from the small plane were absolutely breathtaking—snow-capped peaks, lush valleys, and waterfalls everywhere you looked. It’s a scenic flight that feels like something out of a movie. Our driver, Hank, was fantastic—super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the journey seamless from start to finish. If you’re considering how to get to Milford Sound, skip the long drive and book the flight. It’s not just transportation, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime part of the adventure. Couldn’t recommend it more! From booking online to the communication from Air Milford, everything was seamless!

Expensive but worth the cost. Great staff, smooth operation all the way though. Bus, plane and boat was all very well done.

Professional and informative flight experience from Anthony, giving facts and figures and about our location and the surrounding areas as we flew over them. Clean and well maintained aircraft, quiet enough to be able to hear eachother talk easily during the flight. Breathtaking views from both in flight and the nature cruise around Milford Sound, the boat skipper also giving a running commentary about our surroundings and the history of the location.

A very professional and organised trip. Courtesy coach from our hotel took us to the airport and we received a short presentation from one of the pilots explaining the route and what to expect on the day. Emma was a very professional and knowledgeable pilot making us feel safe during the short flight to Milford and back. The views were spectacular and she pointed out the various landmarks along the way. The small cruise boat was comfortable, delicious warm muffins and coffee were provided with commentary from the captain and his helpful crew member (sorry I don't know your names) We highly recommend Air Milford a flawless trip from beginning to end.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this stunning tour of Milford sound and the mountain views on our flight to and from the cruise. Just absolutely gorgeous mountain scenery, the pilot told us we were lucky to have blue skies as the weather does not always cooperate. The cruise was comfortable with both inside and outside seating and great narrative by the crew. It had rained the day before so we had some beautiful waterfalls. Total time to and from Milford Sound was a little under 5 hrs and perfect for our family. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!
